Memphis-Milano style combined elements of art deco, tropical, and pop art, and and set out to transcend modernism with its bold geometric shapes, striking colour combinations, linework and asymmetry papazzart.com/. A trend that has totally taken off over the last few years, what’s become known as the Memphis Revival is now in full swing!

Even though the industry constantly adopts new design trends, the significance of retro design is increasing. Things that were once obsolete are now new again; old trends and designs are now brought out, dusted, and put into use, thus proving their point.
Viewing what is familiar and nostalgic through a modern lens, companies, artists and designers alike have embraced the retro graphic design style with open arms. Even the world’s biggest brands such as Nike, Pepsi, and Gucci have integrated retro design into their advertising campaigns, recycling retro trends, marketing and products with incredible results.

The Roman Empire later adopted and adapted Greek theatrical traditions, further shaping the evolution of theater. As centuries passed, medieval European mystery plays and morality plays emerged, marking a shift from religious to secular themes.

Venues increased in size, too. Covent Garden Theatre had a capacity of 1,000 when it was constructed in the 1730s, making it the largest theatre London had ever seen. By the end of the century, after several rebuilds, capacity had increased to 3,000.

In the context of logo design, classic choices include diamonds, both horizontal and vertical, and triangles. Both of these shapes lend themselves well to logo design. Circles are also smart choices for retro logos and can be incorporated as “frames, ” including diamonds or other shapes within.
